What if I want to Upgrade or Change Pledge Levels?

Some of you might want to upgrade your pledge to something else, such as a Signature Blend (all-in) pledge, to get those cool coins or expansion. Let’s say you backed at the Wee Dram ($1) level. Anyone can switch a pledge level at any time. Here’s how you do it:

  1. On either the WELCOME screen of the survey or on the ADD-ON screen, you can switch it. Instructions: on the WELCOME SCREEN, look under the green button, where it says “Switch your pledge level”. On the ADD-ON screen: Click the blue pledge amount in the top left of the screen, and then choose “switch pledge levels?”.

  2. When you do either of the above, you’ll be able to switch to another pledge tier, and then it will essentially “reset you” into a new pledge level (but keep the amount of money credited from your Kickstarter pledge). From there, you’ll go through the same steps as before, but now in the new pledge level!

NOTE: You cannot switch to the Wee Dram or Just the Recipe (Print ‘n’ Play) levels ($1 or $8), as the print and play comes free with all other levels already!

Double Pour: Is there a discount if I buy multiple copies?

Yes, for both the Original Blend and Signature Blend pledge levels there is a Double Pour pledge level option, which includes two copies of the game, with the second copy shipping to the same address for only $7, and an additional $5 discount for buying two at once!

You can switch to this pledge at the Welcome Screen, and still add other things to your order as well (including a second double pour!). And remember, it will only cost $7 to ship each game on top of the single game shipping cost, saving you even more money!

Note: Both of the games in the second double pour will be the same language that you choose when selecting this add-on. This will give you a total of four games, which is the maximum amount allowed for one backer.

When will my credit card be charged?

We won’t be charging cards for a bit, so that you have time to navigate and decide what is best for you in the Pledge Manager. Remember, your Kickstarter pledge has already been charged, so it is only the amount you see in Backerkit that still needs to be charged. The earliest we’ll charge is mid-December, but it might even be later than that, like in January or February. We will be sure to give you a heads-up on when we are charging, so that you can make any last-minute additions to your Pledge Manager!

Are taxes like VAT and sales tax included in the prices?

We are required by law to charge VAT and sales tax on all orders and shipping. So if for example you are in the UK or the EU you will be required to pay your country’s VAT %, based on your reward and shipping cost, in the Pledge Manager. The same goes for each state tax in the USA.

What about Local Pickup? How does that work?

Paverson Games will have a few select days where they will be providing local pickup from either Menomonie, WI or a nearby city like Eau Claire, WI or the Twin Cities of MN. Local pickup for a single game (either the Original or Signature Blend) will be a flat $5, but other local pickup costs may be added if other games or add-ons are included (remember, we have to pay to ship a pallet of games to us and sort through everything, and that still costs a lot of time and money!).

If you are interested and able to do Local Pickup, you can find that option back on the Welcome Page, under the “Select your country for shipping” dropdown. You’ll also need to double check that it is selected on the Address page as well.

Can I have the Print & Play in the same language as I ordered for the game?

Unfortunately, due to us being able to keep costs low, the Print & Play currently is only offered in English. Since Martin Gonzalvez will be custom-creating the PnP for Distilled, it would be extremely difficult and time-consuming to ask him to do it for every language. If you ordered “Just the Recipe” and was hoping to get it in another language than English, please contact us to help you figure out a solution.

What size are the cards in Distilled?

Distilled has two card sizes: Standard US (56x87mm) and Mini US (41x63mm). For those interested in sleeving, here are two examples from Mayday Sleeves (other brands are available, so this is just a suggestion):

Standard US: https://www.maydaygames.com/collections/all-card-sleeves/products/standard-usa-card-sleeves

Mini US: https://www.maydaygames.com/collections/all-card-sleeves/products/mini-usa-card-sleeves

The quantities may change as stretch goals are unlocked, so we will update this FAQ at the end of the campaign to confirm how many of each card size will likely be in the final game.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
